Aelene was raised in a small tribe in gridania by her mother and grandmother. Teasingly they both would tell her, "you are too restless, child. One would think you are a seeker of the sun, not a keeper of the moon." But Aelene would not settle. Instead she often would be found trouncing through meadows with the sylphs and climbing trees with the moogles. At the age of thirteen the miqo’te stumbled across a travelling troupe of dancers set to perform at a party being held in the lavender beds as they rehearsed. Aelene became enchanted by their tulle and silk, following them around like a kitten until they left the shroud. At the age of eighteen Aelene mustered up the courage to leave the shroud to join that troupe, head held high waving farewell to her mother and grandmother with promises to return every autumn.

born to a tribe of viera that hail from daitenz - another island a part of the hingan archipelago that contains kugane - daichi spends his life wandering the star. he peddles the wares of his people, trading goods not available to the tribe locally and collecting stories to bring back to the kits. his tribe is composed of highly skilled artisans, artists, and musicians, blessed by their kami with an affinity to all things creative. he lives by simple means, his pockets often too light to enjoy the expense of fineries, and that's fine by him. though he can be found anywhere on the star, he often stays in a cabin in limsa near the ocean that is free for any wanderers of his tribe to house themselves. daichi is often seeking out means of entertainment, hating being bored even the slightest bit. he often can be found in the middle of the crowd at concerts, checking out hole in the wall taverns, or simply people watching in major city hubs.

Ren’li was born on the Gridanian side of the border between the Shroud and Gyr Abania. He was raised by his father once he was old enough alongside a few of his brothers. In his late teens he was recruited by X’Rhun Tia in his attempt to rebuild the numbers of the Crimson Duelists. He learned the craft fairly easily but he was a bit of an under achiever, not wanting to put too much effort into it. Once his training was concluded Ren’li followed in his brothers' footsteps to get away from tribal obligations and responsibilities in Kugane. You may have even caught a rock show played by he and his brothers, but as of the current moment the band is on indefinite hiatus. Ren has done a lot of healing these past few moons of the scars left behind by a rough upbringing with the help of those that persisted despite the fact he once believed he was undeserving of their kindness.
